MedTech Consultant 

After more than 35 years in the MedTech industry - working in several leadership positions, I have decided to use my experience helping other companies/startups become successful in the Nordic Region through my independent consulting firm.

I am Danish – 66 years old and burning for what can improve patient treatments - especially within new technology.

I believe that companies who quickly adapt to the new needs in the market – are the ones who will succeed in the future. This demands an organization fulfilling to those needs – something which have been on my table for many years.

I am pragmatic, business-orientated with good interpersonal and collaboration skills and able to show a quite successful track record.

Sales optimization in Denmark and Norway with emphasis on the new world situation. 
Leaving
this position October 2023 due to necessary reductions in the management structure as well as my personal wish to retire from Stryker and use the coming years in my own firm.
Finishing my Stryker career with an organization ready for the challenges of the coming years and with several years of budget fulfillment in the luggage (+10-15% in a pressured market).

Key Account Director Scandinavia

Building a new KAM organization in Scandinavia with 2 KAM - one in Norway and one in Sweden, exploring the possibilities of tender collaboration between the different franchises in Stryker. 
During the same period, I was given the task of optimizing and managing the distributors in the area. This also included some centralization, discontinuation and optimization of current or new distributors. 
Was also at Nordic level part of the group preparing one of Stryker's major acquisitions – Berthold.

My job was to merge 2 divisions, Surgical and Endo into a new organization = Medsurg Scandinavia. 
This group of about + 20 colleagues, including 3 sales managers, needed motivation, leadership to integrate into a new franchise. 
Together with my colleague in another franchise, we shared full responsibility for Scandinavia, and became Area of The Year 2012.

During these years, my responsibility has been to build up new smaller organizations and leave them to new leaders. 
Building new talent pools to secure new future leaders inside or outside Stryker. 
Budget achiever in most years - ends up in Stryker Club GOLD +. 
Manager of the Year Nordics 2004, Sales Manager of the Year 2006. 
Q12 staff evaluation results above expectations in most years. 
Also, the person who in difficult times has held the flag high with our employees/colleagues – until e.g.
new management group has been in place.

Succeeded in rebuilding the maxillofacial surgery area in Denmark from only one Uni Clinic back to 3 Uni Clinics
Bounced back Spine from $100K to $1.7 million. During the same period, I became part of the management team who restarted Stryker in Denmark.
